Beekeepers visit Outsider’s 4-H Club with honey from DeWitt and Lavaca counties

    Outsider’s 4-H heard an informative presentation on beekeeping from Robert and Stephanie Fojtik, of Moulton, on March 17. The Fojtiks spoke about how bees work, how to collect honey, what to do if you are attacked by bees, how much money you can make in beekeeping, as well as how much time it takes. Students were able to sample Lavaca County honey and Dewitt County honey. They also learned about bee suits and additional protective gear to wear when handling bees.
