Property stolen east of Hallettsville

The Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for its assistance regarding information concerning a robbery that took place approximately seven and a half miles east of Hallettsville last week.

According to a LCSO Facebook post, sometime between Wednesday night, Nov. 6 and early Thursday morning Nov. 7, between the 6 p.m. and 7 a.m., unknown person(s) forcibly entered a gate at 7462 Highway 90-A East where a construction company had two Conex metal boxes.

The post reported that the subjects broke into the boxes and removed hand tools, wire reel, safety harness, a Milwaukee hammer, utility trailer and other items. Also, a large amount of rebar was removed from the boxes.

The location of the property is near the Navidad River bridge, located west of Sublime, that is under repair.
