Shiner Pilot Club lends a hand to food pantry

    The Shiner Pilot Club donated their time helping the Food Pantry by unloading the food truck at the Methodist Church on Sept. 11. The club also donates their time and serves breakfast on the 4th Thursday of each month at the church. The Shiner Food Pantry serves all members of the Shiner community and those from the surrounding area. They currently feed 40-45 families each week. The product which they hand out is ordered once a month from the Golden Crescent Food Bank in Victoria but also relies on local donations for needed products. Pastor Darin Zumwalt is the overseer of the Food Pantry.
