Alyssa Jade Schoeneman
Alyssa Jade Schoeneman, 22, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She was born on July 20th, 2001. She is preceded in death by her Papa, Tommy Reiler, and her uncle, Vance Schoeneman. She is loudly and proudly survived by her mother and father, Cheryl (Reiler) and John Schoeneman, her Oma, Carol Reiler, her Meme and Paw, Dolly (Supak) and Irvin Schoeneman, her younger sisters, Brooklyn and Morgan, the love of her life Josh Koppenol, and her dog, Costa, as well as large and loving group of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Alyssa graduated from Hallettsville High School in 2019 and was impatiently studying education at the University of Houston Victoria. Alyssa was happiest spending time with her family and found the most joy in cooking and sharing those meals with her friends and family. Alyssa was nothing if not a cook, truly measuring the ingredients with her heart, and prioritizing food no matter where she went or what she’d do.
Alyssa spent her youth in a leotard, doing gymnastics at Pearland Elite. Always having a passion for livestock, in high school she raised and competitively showed a pig, Riblet, and a steer, Levi, for 4H Livestock, winning grand champion for her steer.
Any chance she’d get, she’d spend time with Josh riding on the four-wheeler, watching him work, watching movies together, and just doing anything and everything under the sun. Alyssa had always loved to draw, even offering up her skills to create paintings and drawings for her family. Any music that played, Alyssa was dancing, singing, and queuing up the next song, family-friendly or not.
Always with a smile on her face, it was easy to laugh and be happy when Alyssa was around; she was a child at heart, honest, caring, nurturing, and most importantly: goofy. She is and will forever be remembered fondly, over home-cooked meals, cheered drinks, and special moments.
Visitation will be held from 12 until 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024, at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with funeral services following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Olyn Hendricks officiating.
