Mary E. McCorkle

Mary Eleanor McCorkle, 87, of Shiner, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at Yoakum Restland Cemetery, with Chaplain Joseph Jones officiating.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home, Yoakum.
She was born November 29, 1936 in Lyford, Texas to Andrew and Georgia (Crain) Conely. 
She was a 1954 graduate of Lyford High School. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, painting, doing lawn care, gardening, antique collecting, deer hunting and watching Shiner Comanche football and softball games.
Survivors include her daughter, Merita Zdansky (Thomas) of Lyford, TX; son, Macy McCorkle (Nina) of Shiner; grandchildren, Hannah Zdansky (Brad Garza) of Charlotte, NC, Crain Zdansky (Ashley) of Lyford, Mason McCorkle of Spicewood, Clayton McCorkle (Katherine) of Tomball, and Amy McCorkle (Jason Hendrix) of Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Riley Zdansky, Carter Zdansky, Aubrey Zdansky, Levi McCorkle and Emery Hendrix; sister, Elise Horkman of La Feria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McCorkle; her parents; and sister, Sara Cates.
