Mildred Matilda Grahmann
Mildred Matilda Grahmann, 95, of Hallettsville, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024. She was born 0in Hallettsville on April 3, 1929, to Henry and Clara Bengsch Zappe.
On Oct. 15, 1948, she married Sylvester J. Grahmann. They were devoted life partners for 66 years until Sylvester’s death in 2015.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville, Catholic Daughters of Americas and Christian Mothers Society.
Mildred is survived by a son, Allan Grahmann, and wife, Jamie of Hallettsville; daughter, Janice Logan and husband, Pat of Houston; five grandchildren, Jennifer Tromble and husband, J.D., Jessica Hopper and husband, Chase, Sarah Braziel husband, Charlie, Haylee Grahmann and Dylan Grahmann and wife, Kaitlin; and six great-grandchildren, Andrew and Lucas Tromble, Mason and Claire Hopper, Audrey Braziel and Jake Grahmann.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Glenn Grahmann, and three brothers, Frank Zappe, William L. Zappe and Henry A. Zappe Jr.
Visitation began at 12:30 p.m. and Rosary was recited at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p m., Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Msgr. John Peters officiated.
Entombment followed at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dylan Grahmann, Pat Logan, Leroy Klesel, Craig Rainosek, Ronnie Huser, and Fred Huser.
Mildred’s family wishes to thank the staff and employees of Stevens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she has resided and received wonderful care for the past 10 years. A special “thank you” also to Hospice of South Texas for their assistance during the last months of her life.
