Oland James ‘Bubba’ Pustejovsky
Oland James “Bubba” Pustejovsky, 79, of Sublime, passed away at Stevens Nursing and Rebab Center, surrounded by family on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.
He was born in Hallettsville May 5, 1945, to Orin and Dellie Pustejovsky.
Oland graduated from Sheridan High School. Following high school, Oland joined the US Air Force and served four years.
On Sept. 10, 1966, he married Lola Raye Moseley and they had one daughter.
Oland and Lola made their home in Sublime. Everyone who knew Oland, knew him as a hard worker. He was a man of many trades and could work on just about anything. He worked as Quality Control for Skytop Brewster and was a carpenter for many years. His most recent job was a foreman for Mobley Ranch, outside of Hallettsville and Brackettville. He enjoyed working for the Mobley’s for over 20 years. He always thought so much of Mr. and Mrs. Mobley. He enjoyed being with family and enjoyed his many nieces and nephews.
Some of his pastimes were enjoying the outdoors and watching the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys.
Oland was preceded in death by his parent, Orin and Dellie Pustejovsky and his beloved dog, Dante.
Oland is survived by his wife, Lola; one daughter, Tammy Pustejovsky, and four sisters, Dellie Joe Willingham (Butch) of Hallettsville, Lois Horton of Hallettsville, Marilyn Mayer (Harry) of Liverpool and Shirley Burton (Dez) of Houston.

Visitation began at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 9 at Kubena Funeral Home in Hallettsville.
Funeral service followed at 11 a.m., Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Pastor Jeremy Kraatz and Pastor Henry Learn officiated.
Burial followed in Geiger Cemetery, Sublime.
Pallbearers were Jeff Moseley, Jason Scott, Ryan Koerth, Colt Valenta, Michael Horton, Carter Mayer, James Koerth and Donald Renken.
Honorary pallbearers were Harry Mayer, Alfred Johnson, Larry Varley and George Kincheloe.
Memorials may be made to a charity of donors choice.
