Robert Trobl

Robert Eugene Trobl, 72, of Shiner, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 21 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 22 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, with the Rev. Michael Odartey-Lamptey officiating. 
Burial followed at S.P.J.S.T. Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joey Trobl, Thomas Klozik, Andy Salazar, Devin Watson, Matthew Brown, Ernie Berger, Sean Berger and Randy Haas.

He was born September 19, 1951 in Shiner, to Eugene and Kathleen Polasek Trobl.
He attended Shiner I.S.D. until the 8th grade then left to help his grandfather, William “Bill” Polasek with custom baling and other farm work. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a farmer and rancher all his life along with being a bulldozer operator with various members of the Winkenwerder family and then with Oak Valley Ranch. He was no stranger to hard work. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening in his spare time. Though he said he would never have a dog in the house, he did. Sue, Tiny, Pete and Tootsie kept him company and brought him joy. 
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Trobl of Shiner and Roger Trobl (Shandala) of Sweet Home; five grandchildren, Adyson Trobl, Weston Trobl, Emarie Trobl, Kayla Brown and Devin Watson; three-great grandchildren, Branson Brown, Brantley Brown and Braxton Brown; two sisters, Carolyn Jett and Jeanette Gonzales; one brother, Jimmy Trobl (Karen); sister-in-law, Laura Klozik; brother-in-law, Leonard Hrncirik (Maggie); along with nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, JoAnn Trobl; his parents; and brothers, Gene Ray Trobl and Richard Trobl.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers who took good care of Mr. Trobl including feeding and tending to the cattle along with doing gardening work.
