Moulton cross country: Kittens, Colchado qualify for state

The Moulton cross-country team will be sending several athletes to the state meet this Saturday in Round Rock, following their performances at the regional meet in Corpus Christi on Oct. 22.
Varsity Girls
The Kittens will compete at the state meet as a team after placing fourth with 190 points.
Leading Moulton was Karsyn Blahuta who placed No. 19 in 14 minutes. 45.37 seconds. Kate Mikulencak was timed at 15:17.89 to place No. 29; Mina Tinajero was No. 36 with 15:43.91; Addison Simper was clocked at 16:21.88 for No. 57; Addisyn Grieve was No. 80 in 16:55.99; Marisol Manzano was No. 94 in 17:20.69 and Katie Richter was done at 17:43.28 for No. 104.
Varsity Boys
The Katz lone regional competitor, Brayan Colchado, will run at the state meet after placing No. 19 in 19:15.17. He placed sixth out of 10 for individuals not on a state-qualified team.
State Meet
The Kittens will run at 8:15 a.m. and Colchado will run at 8:45.
