Moulton girls basketball: Kittens open season with pair of wins

The Moulton Kittens opened the 2024-25 hoops season with two wins last week.
Moulton 46, Snook 19
Audrey Swinford swished in a dozen points as the Kittens took down Snook 46-19 on Thursday in Snook.
Moulton led 10-3 after the first quarter and outscored Snook 13-3 in the second box. 
Moulton scored 15 of 25 third-quarter points and went on an 8-3 fourth-quarter surge. Dakota Kienow led the Lady Bluejays with nine points.

Moulton 64, Yorktown 29
Addisom Simper scored 21 points and one triple to lead the Kittens in a 64-29 win at home against Yorktown on Saturday. Araceli Vasquez netted 15 points and one trey while Swinford finished with 11 points.
Moulton led 21-8 after the first break and was up 40-13 at halftime. They slightly outscored Yorktown 19-14 in the third quarter and scored 14 of 16 points in the fourth frame. Koopman recorded eight points to lead Yorktown.
