Moulton softball: Kittens beat Louise in softball district game

Moulton lost a home game to the Ganado JV and routed Louise in recent softball action.

The Kittens were held to just five hits and plated a pair of runs as they fell to Ganado’s junior varsity squad 16-2 April 1 at home.
Ganado scored  four runs in the first inning and five in the second inning. They took a 11-0 lead after four frames and outscored Moulton 5-2 in the fifth frame.
Addison Simper was the top hitter for the Kittens going 2-for-3; Abigail Siegel and Taylor Self scored one run each.
Bethany Kram pitched five innings with 16 runs on 12 hits, eight walks and four strikeouts.
In the field, Kenzie Dvorak had three putouts, one assist with Katie Richter adding three putouts.

Self went 3-for-3 for three runs; Araceli Vasquez went 3-for-4 with one run; Dvorak hit 2-for-2 and scored four runs and Katie Richter got two hits, scored one run and had two RBI as Moulton routed Louise 18-3 on Friday.
The Kittens led 6-2 after one inning and 9-2 after two; they outscored Lousie 6-1 in the fourth frame and 3-0 in the fifth square.
Kram held Louise to three runs on three hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
Richter had six putouts on defense.
