Moulton softball: Softball won one, lost one last week

The Kittens softball team won against Flatonia and fell to Burton in two games last week.
Moulton 13, Flatonia 8
The Moulton Kittens scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break out of a 5-5 game to down Flatonia 13-8 on March 19.
Moulton led 1-0 after one inning and Flatonia tied it up in the second inning.
The Kittens went ahead 4-1 after three and Flatonia got within 5-3 after four frames.
Moulton outscored the Lady Bulldogs 3-2 in the fifth and Flatonia tied things at 8-8 in the top of the sixth.
Kenzie Dvorak was 3-for-4, three RBI, double, run; Addison Simper got three hits, double, run and two RBI.
Bethany Kram pitched seven innings with eight hits, eight runs, four walks and five strikeouts.
Katie Richter had six putouts in the field.

Burton scored six runs in the top of the eight to down Moulton 14-8 in extra innings.
Moulton led 1-0 after one inning and Burton took a 4-1 lead after three complete innings.
The Kittens went up  5-4 after four innings; Burton tied the game in the fifth and Moulton regained the lead 6-5 in the sixth frame. Burton outscored the Kittens 3-2 in the seventh to go into extra innings.
Simper and Kram each got two hits with one double; Simper, Blahuta, Dvorak and Valeria Pinedo also got two hits.
Kram went the distance with 14 hits, 14 runs, three walks and three strikeouts.
Richter had 10 putouts.
