St. Paul softball: Lady Cards beat AO 21-4
Mariah Jackson went 4-for-5 with a home run,double two RBI and two totals runs as St. Paul took down Huntsville Alpha Omega 21-4 in the area round Thursday in Madisonville.
Stefany Pokluda (two hits, two doubles), Brooke Cerny (two hits, two doubles), Tori Walker (two hits, two doubles), Tatum Walker (two hits, double) and Sloane Kocian (two hits) all had more than one hit. The Lady Cardinals had 16 hits and nine extra base hits.
Tatum Walker gave up four runs on four hits with eight walks and four strikeouts in five innings pitched.
Jackson had three putouts in the field.
St. Paul led 5-0 after one inning and 8-2 after two squares.
The teams tied 1-1 in the third frame before St. Paul outscored Alpha Omega 6-0 in the fourth and 6-1 in the fifth.
