Shiner girls basketball: LC 59, Ganado 20

Morgan Lenehan put in 12 points and hit two treys, and Kailey Boedeker and Jaliyah Barnett added 11 points each and one triple as Shiner won at Ganado on Jan. 17 59-20.
The Lady Comanches came out of the gates hot by outscoring Ganado 25-3 in the opening eight minutes and outscored the Maidens 14-4 in the second quarter for a 39-7 halftime advantage.
Shiner allowed just two points in the third box and netted nine; in the fourth quarter, each team deposited 11 points.
Zoey Ibarra was the top scorer for Ganado with six points.

A 10-4 run in the third run proved to be crucial in the junior varsity’s 20-16 win over Ganado.
Shiner led 8-2 after the first frame and 10-5 at halftime following Ganado scoring three of five points in the second quarter.
Going into the fourth frame, Shiner was up 20-9 and Ganado outscored them 7-0.
Lexi Boner led Shiner with 12 points and had eight rebounds, one steal; Kalle Kifer had 10 steals, three assists, two rebounds; A’Journee Kuykendall added two rebounds.
 Olivia Akin had one steal and Evy Johnson finished with four rebounds, one assist.
