Pope Francis succumbs to illness

The leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, passed away this past Monday after battling health issues that led to him having a stroke and heart failure.Pope Francis was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on Dec. 17, 1936 and was elected the 266th pope on March 13, 2013.

New restaurant chains coming to Hallettsville

The City of Hallettsville will be getting some new restaurant chains coming soon.The first restaurant chain coming to town is McDonalds. The City Administrator Grace Ward, and Mayor Alice Summers recently had a meet and greet with the owners.

YISD hears presentation from band director; gives construction updates
