Shiner volleyball:Lady Comanches beat Louise in district, Yorktown in warm up

The Lady Comanches closed out the regular season with a 25-10, 25-19 and 25-12 win over Louise Oct. 29.The Lady Comanches attack was led by JaMya Wright with 11 kills and Morgan Lenehan was also in double figures with 10 kills.

Moulton cross country: Kittens come in at No. 16 at state

The Moulton Kittens scored 378 points and placed No. 16 in the Class 3A girls two miles at the UIL state cross-country meet on Saturday.Karsyn Blahuta led the Kittens with No 75 in 14 minutes, 4.2 seconds.Katie Mikulencak was No. 107 in 14:39.1; Addison Simper was clocked at 15:06 for No. 123.

Brahmas secure playoff Berth with 55-3 victory over Bobcats

The Hallettsville Brahmas have suffered some close losses this season and took out their frustrations on the Hempstead Bobcats in a 55-3 District 12-AAA victory here Friday night.The Brahmas amassed a season-high 425 yards and held the Bobcats to only 98 yards.
