DeWitt County Commissioners approved a resolution establishing the week of May 18th as Texas Flood Awareness Week at the May 11th meeting. “The Texas Floodplain Management Association established this in 2016,” DeWitt County Emergency Management Coordinator Billy Jordan Jr. said.
The Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) presented a Safety Achievement Award to DeWitt County. DeWitt County commissioners accepted the award. Human Resource Director Ashley Hunt (pictured fifth from left) also was a recipient of the 2025 Making a Difference Award from TAC RMP.
