The DeWitt County Commissioners approved a purchase to replace mobile satellite antennas at the law enforcement center for emergency management purposes at the Jan. 8 meeting. The amount for this purchase was $4,760 and the installation fee is $365.

Commissioners renew juvenile incarceration agreement

DeWitt County commissioners on Monday, Dec. 11, renewed a one-year contract between the San Patricio County Juvenile Probation Department and DeWitt County that provides for pre-adjudication detention of juvenile offenders. That agreement begins with the start of the new year on Jan. 1, 2024.

Commissioners have sent a letter to the Texas General Land Office seeking an extension of time to submit a project list for the GLO Grant at the Nov. 23 meeting. This grant is $1.3 million and is Hurricane Harvey money which is to be used for parts of the county that are low to moderate income.
