Lavaca County Sheriff ’s Office deputies conducted a drug arrest Sunday evening in the Sweet Home area.According a report from LCSO, Shelby Clark was taken into custody at a residence in Sweet Home in regards to having four outstanding warrants.

During the past week, the Lavaca County Sheriff ’s Office has been very busy conducting arrests.Last Friday, Aug. 22, the Texas Officer of Attorney General’s (OAG) Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Travis Bingham, a Lavaca County registered sex offender, in Houston.

Law enforcement agencies conduct Yoakum drug arrest

Early Wednesday morning, June 25, the Yoakum Police Department along with assistance from the Austin County Sheriff ’s Office, Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cuero Police Department, executed a search warrant and arrest at a residence within the city limits of Yoakum.

Hallettsville and Lavaca County residents may have noticed an increase in police presence last week in the area.
The Ford pickup, reported stolen out of Brazoria County, sits in a field in the northern Lavaca County area. The vehicle was used by two subjects, who bailed out of the truck following a law enforcement chase last Tuesday, May 6. The two subjects, described as Hispanic males in their late 20’s and both under six feet tall, led officers to an area between Highway 77 North and CR 240. Suspects remain at large following Tuesday, May 6 bail out

Two subjects, who evaded Lavaca County Sheriff deputies in a bail out last Tuesday, May 6 remain at large according to Sheriff Steven Greenwell.According to a LCSO Facebook post, the bail out took place in western Lavaca County that eventually led to a search in the CR 240 area.

New sheriff starts year with oath of office

When Steven Greenwell grabbed the Good Book and told the Lavaca County residents and honored guests who gathered that New Year’s Day inside the local courthouse that he wanted to open by reading a few words, several in attendance instinctively bowed their heads.
