Representatives from the nonprofit Connected Nation met with several local and regional officials in Cuero last week for the much-anticipated release of the group’s broadband internet survey findings, having completed their surveys earlier this year in both Lavaca and DeWitt counties.

All three of Lavaca County’s smallest, most rural school districts will open their month-long filing period Saturday, July 23, for those who live within boundaries of their respective districts and have an interest in serving on their respective boards.
Miss Moulton Hope Kirkland, Junior Miss Alyssa Jasek, Little Miss Emma Henderson and Little Mister Ryan Koncaba make their way around the landmark SouthStar Bank corner in downtown Moulton as part of the 60th annual Jamboree Parade in 2021. Jamboree Week kicks off this weekend with the 2022 Miss Moulton Pageant, starting at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at the Legion Hall.
