Folks may notice an ambulance on the road that looks a little different from the units people are accustomed to seeing.This ambulance is currently serving as a loaner ambulance for the Lavaca County EMS Department.

Lavaca County Emergency Management Services crews recently helped search and rescue dogs recover from heat and exhaustion while on deployment in Kerrville. Using special equipment made for animals, medics gave oxygen to several cadaver dogs needing medical attention.
