Moulton girls basketball: Kittens beat Runge, Austwell-Tivoli

The girls basketball team picked up two more district wins last week. Moulton 52, Runge 20 Audrey Swinford put in 21 points and Addison Simper contributed 13 points to lead Moulton girls to a 52-20 win at Runge Jan. 26.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz push away Redfish 31-24

The Bobkatz routed Runge on the road and held off Austwell-Tivoli in district action last wekk. Moulton 80, Runge 17 Trent Meisetschleager made 13 buckets and sank 29 points as the Moulton Katz clawed up Runge 80-17 Jan. 23 in Runge.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz beat Pettus in district game

Trent Meisetschleager netted 15 points and Tyler Siegel hit another 14 points as the Katz earned a 52-44 district win at Pettus on Friday. Pettus was led by 10 points by Ramon Reyna.

Moulton girls basketball: Junior High girls win two games and home tournament championship

The Moulton Junior High Kittens team won their home tournament on Saturday, winning both games they played . Moulton 40, Pettus B 3 The Kittens did not cede one point in the first half as they rolled to a 40-3 win over Pettus B team.

Moulton boys basketball: Junior High Katz win home tournament

The Moulton Junior High boys team took home their tournament championship with a 3-0 record Friday and Saturday. Moulton 36, Bastrop Tribe 23 Carson Beyer converted two triples and finished with 14 points to to lead the Katz to a 36-23 win over Bastrop Tribe on Friday.

Moulton girls basketball: Girls earn close win against Pettus 34-31

Audrey Swinford sank 11 points and Araceli Vasquez finished off nine points as the Moulton Kittens hung for a 34-31 win at Pettus on Friday. Moulton took an 8-4 lead in the first quarter and each team scored six points in the second frame.

Moulton boys basketball:JH Katz beat Waelder with fourth-quarter run

The Junior High Katz went on a 10-2 run in the fourth frame to break a 27-27 tie and defeat Waelder 37-29 Monday in Waelder. Moulton led 11-7 after the first frame and was ahead 22-17 at halftime. Waelder went on a 10-5 run in the third quarter.

Moulton girls basketball: Ava Olivarez scores 18 as JH Kittens thrash Waelder 60-14

Ava Olivarez bagged 18 points, Sophia Vasquez added 16 points and Zurely Vasquez put in 10 points in the Moulton junior high girl’s 60-14 win at Waelder on Monday. The Kittens led 18-5 after one quarter and outscored Waelder 18-0 in the second frame.
