Moulton baseball: Katz nine get three on All-District team

Three members of the 2025 Moulton Bobkatz got All-District 29-1A awards.Seniors Jaxon Bartos and Colton Abby along with Landon Chaloupka all received First-Team honors.The Bobkatz made the 1A area-round playoffs where they fell to Knippa in two games.

MISD approves new policy for dealing with lice

The Moulton Independent School District approved a new lice procedures policy for the 2025-26 school year at the May 14 meeting.“Our current lice policy doesn’t include anything about sending children home once live lice has been observed or found in a child’s hair,” School Nurse Lindsey Muehr said.

Moulton baseball: Knippa wins area-round series against Katz, winning both games by a single run

The Moulton Bobkatz baseball team fell to Knippa 4-3 and 3-2 in the area-round playoff series Friday in Moulton.Knippa 4, Moulton 3 (Game 1)With a 3-3 score entering the seventh inning, Knippa scored one run and then kept the Katz off the scoreboard in the bottom of the inning to win the opener 4-3.

Moulton Election Results

The results are in for the Moulton Independent School Board elections.For Place 1, challenger Cody Maresh had a total of 214 votes (58%) while Debra Luksovsky received 154 votes (41%). For Place 2, Jill Moore won over Robert Nieto by just 13 votes.

Moulton track and field: Kittens sprint relay place fifth at state

The Moulton track and field had  a fifth place, sixth place, seventh place and eighth place in their events at the UIL State Meet Saturday in Austin.The 400-meter relay team of Taylor Self, Addison Simper, Karsyn Blahuta and Mina Tinajero placed fifth with a time of 51.54 seconds.

Moulton softball: Leakey defeats Kittens in area-round playoff

The Lady Eagles scored five runs in the fifth inning and five in the seventh inning to down the Moulton softball team 15-6 in the area round on Thursday in San Antonio.Moulton led 3-2 after the first inning.

MISD Election this Saturday

Folks will have an opportunity to vote in the Moulton ISD school board election this Saturday.The general election will be held Saturday, May 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. also at the Community Center.There are currently eight people running for the school board positions.

Moulton track and field: Moulton TF state meet schedule

The Moulton track and field team will have one relay team and two athletes in individual events Saturday at the UIL State Meet at University of Texas’s Mike A. Meyers Stadium. Mina Tinajero  will compete in the long jump and Audrey Swinford will throw the shot put around 9 a.m.

Moulton softball: Kittens win pair of playoff practice games, face Leakey in playoffs

The Moulton softball team won a pair of playoff-practice games last week.Moulton plays Leakey in the first game of the area round at 6 p.m. today at Northeast ISD Complex in San Antonio.Moulton 19, Victoria Cobras 8The Kittens overcame nine errors to defeat Victoria Cobras 19-8 on April 22.
