MPD gets new building

The Moulton Police Department will be getting a new building for its operations.“The new police department will be right next to the fire department,” Police Chief Daniel Beyer said. “That lot was donated to us by the SouthStar by the owner of the bank, David Kapavick.

City reviews water permit process

The Moulton City Council discussed a permit process for new water service connections at the July 9 meeting.“There was a discussion, but no action on this item,” City Administrator LuAnn Rogers said. “What this is regarding is new service taps.

The Moulton Police Department received a $20,000 power-up grant from GVEC for the Police Department. “This is actually the second time we received the grant,” Police Chief Daniel Beyer said. “There’s a lot of departments and organizations that apply for it, so we were very lucky to receive it.
