St. Paul softball: St. Paul softball loses close one to SH, crush SA Lutheran

HALLETTSVILLE —  With a 4-4 tie going into the seventh inning, both softball teams made clutch hits with two outs.However, it was the home side Sacred Heart Indians who got the better result in a 7-6 win over St. Paul April 14 in Hallettsville.St.

Shiner junior high track: Shiner Junior High track teams district meet results

The Shiner junior high track teams competed in the district meet last month in Weimar with the 8th grade girls claiming the district title.7th GirlsShiner tied for second with Ganado with 143 points.100 — 1st, Presley Pohler, 13.57; 2nd, Piper Wallace, 14.09; 9th, Emersyn Kusak, 15.47.

Shiner softball: LCs hit five blasts against Weimar

The Lady Comanches softball team blanked both Schulenburg and Weimar last week.Shiner 16, Weimar 0The Shiner Lady Comanches held another home-run derby.This time it was in a 16-0 win over Weimar Friday at home.

Shiner baseball: Shiner hands ‘Horns first district loss, produce the hits in 16-0 win vs Weimar

The Comanches had a dozen hits and scored 12 runs in a pivotal third inning to shut down Weimar 16-0 Friday at Green-Dickson Park.Shiner had 17 total hits, with nearly the entire lineup contributing.“We were swinging the bat today.

Shiner track and field: Shiner boys track and field win 28-2A championship

The Shiner girls and boys track and field teams competed in the 28-2A meet April 8-9 in Ganado.The varsity boys won the 28-2A team title.Varsity GirlsThe Lady Comanches booked 84 points for fifth place and qualified 10 athletes in eight events to the area meet in Granger today.

The Shiner baseball team had four-run sparks in the third and sixth innings to defeat Fayetteville 10-0 in six  March 24 at Green-Dickson Park.

Shiner girls golf: Shiner girls golf A team wins district, spot at regionals

The Shiner A girls golf team placed first at the district meet with a team score of 450 April 1 at Weimar to move on to regionals as a team.Olivia Akin was first medalist by shooting 57-52-109. Jaeleigh Ramirez was second medalist with 59-53-112.Addie Prove was third medalist by carding 61-52-113.

Shiner scored 50 runs and allowed none in district win over Bloomington and Louise last week.Shiner 26, Louise 0The Lady Comanches scored 19 runs from 12 hits and four Louise errors in the second inning for a 26-0 win on Thursday to complete the sweep of the Lady Hornets.
