YOAKUM — The Lady Comanches captured the regional title with an 8-2, 13-5 sweep of Burton Thursday in Yoakum.“I think we did amazing in this series and really set the bar high,” center fielder/short stop Hailey Radicke said.

The Shiner Comanches 400-meter relay team of Caleb Cowan, Clayton Fric, Tyler Harvey and Quincy Jones won the 2A state title with a time of 42.51 seconds, edging out Ozona who finished in 42.55. Cowan, Harvey, Fric and Jones made comprised the 800-relay team that was third with 1:28.30.

JOURDANTON — Shiner swept La Pryor in the area round with an 8-0 shutout and then a late rally, 6-2, Thursday in Jourdanton.Shiner will play Goldthwaite in the regional semifinal round.
