Shiner 2025 graduate  and University of Kansas softball outfielder Brinley Ramirez saw action in eight games during her freshman 2026 softball season.In the Feb. 8 in USF-Rawlings Invitational In Tampa, Fla., in the  4-2 loss to Michigan, Ramirez scored one run.In the Feb.

The Shiner Junior League softball team continued its historical run by winning the Southwest Regional Tournament on July 22, defeating West Mesa, N.M. 14-8.Shiner got a first-round bye and advanced to the championship game with a 19-0 win over Lake Charles, Louisiana 19-0 on July 21.

Five Lady Comanche softball players won spots on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association 2A All-State Team.Senior Lauren Springfield was chosen as Second-Team Pitcher and senior Kloe Polasek was selected as Second-Team Designated Hitter/Designated Player/Flex.
