The annual St. Mary’s Catholic Church Picnic is set for Sunday with a Mass offered at 9:30 a.m. to start off the day.Following the Mass, the traditional picnic meal that includes stew, sausage, German potatoes, green beans, sauerkraut, pickles, bread and dessert will be served starting at 10:30 a.

The annual St. Mary’s Catholic Church picnic is scheduled for this Sunday with all activities taking place on the church’s grounds located at 1648 FM 340, west of Hallettsville.The picnic will begin with a celebration of Mass at 9:15 a.m.

Even triple digit heat didn't keep people away Sunday when members of St. Mary's Catholic Church near Hallettsville hosted their annual June picnic. There was plenty of food to eat, and plenty of cold drinks to drink, though.
