A former Ezzell ISD principal accused of stealing money intended to help a grieving family has pleaded guilty to felony theft, according to recently filed court records.Jody Mildred Thompson pleaded guilty to theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000.

Emergency Crews Respond to Two-Vehicle Wreck on Highway 77

A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 77 and FM 531 resulted in a headon collision mid-morning on Texas’ first cold and misty winter day of 2025. The impact sent one of the vehicles off the roadway and into a ditch.No fatalities were reported.
