Starkey Ranch Show Team attends GHHJA awards banquet

On Saturday, January 10, 2026,  the Starkey Ranch Show Team attended the GHHJA 2025 Awards Banquet where most of the riders were awarded final placings of the season. Holdyn Nevlud and The Rusty Rooster received an advancement certificate in walk/trot proving his readiness for the next level up.

Lavaca County EMS recently announced it is now able to carry and administer low-tier O-positive whole blood in the field, allowing paramedics to begin blood transfusions before a patient arrives at the hospital.
