Accused fentanyl dealer pleads guilty in Federal Court

A 20-year-old man who was raised along the border could spend between 10 years to life in a federal prison plus face an additional $10 million in fines after he pleaded guilty to a substantial drug charge that landed him behind bars right here in Lavaca County early one morning late last year.

Lions Club hosts Pivo and Kolaches run

MISD makes teacher cuts

It was revealed that the Moulton Independent School District will be having to make some cuts at the March 12 meeting.Many citizens came to the meeting voicing their concern about the transparency of the district and the cuts that are having to be made.

DeWitt County grand jury presents eight felony indictments

Members of the DeWitt County grand jury handed seven felony indictments for February 2025.Of the cases, one was marked as sealed indictments, which are typically issued whenever law enforcement has not yet served arrest warrants in an active investigation.
