Traffic stop leads to ICE arrest

A traffic stop in Lavaca County led to the involvement of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a sheriff’s deputy encountered a passenger who authorities say was unlawfully present in the United States.
According to the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and encountered two occupants.
