Moulton cross country: Blahuta places top 10 in varsity girls race

The Moulton varsity cross-country teams competed in the Gonzales Invitational last Saturday.Varsity GirlsMoulton placed seventh with 140 points.Karsyn Blahuta led the Kittens with No 10 in 13 minutes, 52.28 seconds. Mina Tinajero took No. 22 with 14:47.5; Kate Mikulencak was timed at 14:59.

St. Paul graduate Cameron Pesek played a good role in leading the The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor volleyball team to a 3-1 (25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 25-21) over Howard Payne on Sept. 10 in Belton.

St. Paul volleyball: Lady Cardinals push through in 3-0 win against Smithville

Two days previous, in their match at Shiner, the St. Paul volleyball team had some trouble finishing sets where they had leads.Thursday evening at home to Smithville, St. Paul found ways to push through the sets as they beat the Lady Tigers 26-24, 25-21, 25-20.

Shiner, St. Paul volleyball:Shiner wins cross-town VB match in four sets

The Lady Comanches team cohesion is coming along well which is extremely pleasing to head coach Desiree Nitsch.“The team chemistry and confidence is finally coming along and that we are starting to gel as a team,” she said.
