Shiner volleyball: Shiner spikers conclude non-district with sweep of Fayetteville

The Shiner Lady Comanches volleyball wrapped up the non-district schedule last week with a sweep of Fayetteville. Shiner won the match convincingly, more or less, with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-13.

Shiner football:Shiner loses last non-district game

It was not the most pleasant night for the Shiner Comanches Friday night against East Bernard. The Comanches closed the book on non-district play with a 49-6 loss to East Bernard.

St, Paul football: Legacy Prep edges Cards

The St. Paul Cardinals fought hard but came up short at Legacy Prep (Magnolia) 34-26 on Friday. The Cardinals out gained Legacy Prep slightly on offense, 471-432, but were hampered by three turnovers. St. Paul had 50 carries for 420 yards with an average of 8.4 yards per carry.

Yoakum cross-country:Cross-country varsity get top six finishes in Shiner

Yoakum volleyball: Lady 'Dogs sweep Tidehaven, Hallettsville in district play

In the couple of days leading up to Yoakum volleyball’s home district match with Hallettsville, head coach Kayla Natho overheard her players talk more about Homecoming than volleyball. Naturally, she was concerned about the players staying focused on the match ahead of them.
