Shiner JH Volleyball update

The Shiner Junior High volleyball teams took on Weimar ,Ganado  and Schulenburg, and played in the Schulenburg Tournament. Weimar 7th grade Shiner hosted their season opener against Weimar on Aug 25.  The 7th grade B team split sets with Weimar: 15-25 and 25-23. Leading serving was Tatum Carson.

Yoakum football:Yoeman hands Yoakum 62-28 defeat

By Alvin Gomez/Special to the Herald-Times The Yoakum Bulldogs once again were on the road this past week traveling two hours to play the Yoemen of Cameron Yoe. The Bulldogs suffered their second loss of the season 62-28.

Yoakum cross country:Lady ‘Dogs win Lockhart meet

Yoakum cross-country teams ran in the Lockhart Hippensteel meet on Friday. The varsity girls won their division and the boys came in third place. Varsity Girls The Lady Bulldogs scored 33 points, beating second-place Lockhart by 32 points.

St. Paul Football: Cards rally for first win of season.

Zane Barta rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns to lead St. Paul to a comeback 38-35 win at San Antonio TMI on Friday. TMI was ahead 35-14 at halftime, St Paul outscored TMI 16-0 in the third and then scored early in the fourth quarter for the win.
