It was just about etched in stone before the Sacred Heart Indianettes’ 2026 season even began.The Indianettes fashioned a 28-8 record with most of the losses coming to UIL schools.In the Ganado-El Campo Tournament, they defeated El Campo and lost to eventual state champion Ganado.

NEW BRAUNFELS – The 11U Hallettsville AllStars went undefeated in the District 31 East Zone Tournament.In the opening game Monday, June 1, Hallettsville defeated Floresville 19-1.The locals scored 13 runs in the second inning on the way to the win.Jace New doubled to drive in a run.

Major boys advance to finals

The Hallettsville Major League All-Stars advanced to the finals of the District 31 Major League (11-12) East Zone Tournament with a 10-2 victory over Shiner Monday evening.With the victory, Hallettsville stayed undefeated in the tournament.Three pitchers turned in yeoman service.

Major girls take 2 easy wins

Hallettsville has been a model of consistency in the first two games of the Major League (11-12) District 31 East Zone Tournament here.Hallettsville scored 21 runs in both games in wins over Floresville and Gonzales.

Local youth sports:Shiner Stars 14U baseball earns regional NIT championship

Shiner Stars 14U brought home the championship from the PG Houston Super Regional NIT May 22-24. This group showed up in every phase of the game. Pitching and defense were locked in all weekend, and the bats did their job too.

Shiner Little League teams were in action last week and over the weekend.Junior SoftballShiner defeated Poth 14-3 on Friday to start off the tournament.Avery Colman drove in four runs on three hits to lead Shiner at the plate.

Lockhart defeats 8s in walk-off fashion

YOAKUM –Marcus Hassonn scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fifth and final inning to give Lockhart a 6-5 win over Hallettsville in the 8-year old District 31 East Zone Tournament Tuesday night to eliminate the locals.Hallettsville gave up a one-run lead going into the final inning.
