The Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) have announced Shiner St. Paul as the 2A 2024-2025 girls overall athletic champions.The Lady Cardinals won the state title in cross country and the tennis team had two doubles teams and one singles team compete at state. St.

8U All-Stars 2-0 in Special Tournament

The Hallettsville 8U All-Stars stayed undefeated in the District 31 Special Tournament in Yoakum.Hallettsville defeated Shiner Monday night, 8-2, to move to 2-0 in the tournament.Hallettsville took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on three hits and an error.

Jr. League team finishes season with 6-2-1 ledger

Hallettsville Jr. League completed its season here Friday with a doubleheader against Gonzales Orange. Hallettsville had a final ledger of 6-2-1.In the first game, the teams fought to a 1-1 tie that featured a pitcher's duel.

Zachary named defensive player of the year

Lady Brahma Hanna Zachary was named Defensive Player of the Year on the District 25-AAA team.Zachary was a threeyear starter and made all-district all three years.
