Brahmas record first 25-AA victory

EL MATON – The Hallettsville Brahmas’ first District 25-AAA victory came at the expense of the Tidehaven Tigers, 60- 26, Friday night.Three players scored in double figures as the Brahmas shot a red-hot 53.3% from the field and committed just 13 turnovers.

LB upset Columbus

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas played as if their hair was on fire in upsetting state-ranked Columbus, 43-37, in a District 25-AAA game here on New Year’s eve.Hallettsville forced 29 Columbus turnovers including 19 in the first half.

Moulton girls basketball: Kittens rout Runge in district opener

The Moulton Kittens basketball team had the desired start to district.The Kittens scored plenty of points in a 75-7 win over Runge Friday evening at home.“Good to start district off on the right foot,” Kittens head coach Craig Barta said.
