HISD board hears thoughts on renovation

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a regular meeting Monday evening hearing from superintendent Dr. Jo Ann Bludau on her thoughts on renovating the restrooms and concession stand at the baseball/softball complex.

HISD board holds special called meeting

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a brief special-called meeting Friday morning and voted to terminate tuition agreements with the Vysehrad and Sweet Home Independent School Districts.

Board approves resolution regarding vouchers

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in a regular meeting Monday evening, March 10 and unanimously approved a resolution regarding vouchers, education savings accounts, taxpayer savings grants and other mechanisms that reduce public education funding.

Flores recognized during National Athletic Training month

Hallettsville High School athletic trainer, Shannon Flores, was recognized Monday evening, March 10 at the HISD Board of Trustee meeting. Her recognition was in part of March being National Athletic Training month.

HISD authorizes BEFCO Engineering, Inc. to solicit bids

The Hallettsville ISD Board of Trustees met in its regular meeting Monday, Jan. 13 and authorized BEFCO Engineering, Inc. to solicit bids for disabled parking and drainage improvements of the parking lot behind the HHS and HES campuses.BEFCO Engineering, Inc.

FFA Ag Issues team presents program at board meeting

The Hallettsville High School FFA Ag Issues team presented a program at the regular meeting of the HISD Board of Trustees on Monday, November 11.
The Guadalupe Valley Electric Co-Op (GVEC) awarded the Hallettsville Independent School District a Power Up grant, which went toward lighting the parking lot on the east side of the Hallettsville High and Elementary School campuses. The grant allowed the district to install LED lights to the parking lot. The LED lighting helps light up the entire parking lot and enables the district to reach one of its strategic goals to provide safe, efficient and appropriate educational facilities to the school community.

GVEC Power Up Grant allows HISD to light parking lot

As a result of Hallettsville Independent School District receiving a Guadalupe Valley Electric (GVEC) Co-Op power up grant, the district was able to complete the lighting of the parking lot located east of the Hallettsville High and Elementary school campuses.
