The Guadalupe Valley Electric Co-Op (GVEC) awarded the Hallettsville Independent School District a Power Up grant, which went toward lighting the parking lot on the east side of the Hallettsville High and Elementary School campuses. The grant allowed the district to install LED lights to the parking lot. The LED lighting helps light up the entire parking lot and enables the district to reach one of its strategic goals to provide safe, efficient and appropriate educational facilities to the school community.
