Moulton girls basketball: JH Kittens return to action with 10-point win over Austwell-Tivoli

Ava Olivarez recorded 23 points to lead the junior high Kittens to a 45-35 home win over Austwell-Tivoli on Thursday.
Moulton led 8-6 after one quarter and 18-12 at the break.
A-T went on a 12-11 run in the third quarter and Moulton scored 16 of 27 points in the fourth box.

Moulton boys basketball: Anderle, JH Katz defeat Austwell-Tivoli

Grayson Anderle deposited 16 points and Carlos Trevion chipped in 10 points in the junior high Katz’s 36-16 win over Austwell-Tivoli on Jan. 2 in Moulton.
Moulton led 15-4 after one quarrter and 24-8 at halftime.
The Katz outscored A-T 12-8 in the second half.

Moulton ISD to host Junior Livestock

Moulton ISD is gearing up for its Moulton Junior Livestock Association Show on Sunday, Jan. 14.
The event will take place in the Show Barn, or the new Bus Shed, at the Moulton ISD campus. Broilers will be judged first beginning at 11 a.m. that day.

The Moulton ISD board of trustees approved some legislative updates at the Wednesday, Dec. 13 meeting.
“These are local and legal policies that TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) is recommending to every district,” Superintendent Renee Fairchild said. “Some of the highlights include safety.

Moulton girls basketball:Kittens rally for 45-36 win against Pettus

A 17-5 run in the third quarter by Moulton brought them back from 17-14 deficit to a 31-22 lead and eventually a 45-36 win against Pettus Dec. 12 at home.
Both teams scored 14 points in the fourth stanza.

The Kittens won three games and placed runner up at the Kittens Klassic Tournament Dec. 7-9.
Audrey Swinford and Addison Simper were named to the All-Tournament team.

Five Moulton High School cheerleaders had the opportunity to experience the Aloha State of Hawaii. There, they were able to cheer in front of millions as part of the Pearl Harbor Day parade in Honolulu, marking the 82nd anniversary of the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, which drew the U.S.

Moulton girls basketball: Sophia Vasquez leads junior high girls to win at Pettus

Sophia Vasquez scored 10 points in the Moulton junior high Kitten’s 34-16 win at Pettus on Monday.
Moulton led 14-2 after the first quarter and was ahead 16-7 at halftime.
The Kittens netted 10 of 15 points in the third box and outscored Pettus 8-4 in the fourth frame.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz win Katz Klassic Tournament

The Moulton Bobkatz performed well for the home crowd with a 3-1 record and first place in the Katz Klassic Tournament. Moulton and the Shiner Comanches each went 3-1 but Moulton won via head-to-head when they defeated Shiner on Saturday.
