Moulton girls basketball: Kittens win big against Runge, A-T

The Moulton Kittens defeated Runge and Austwell-Tivoli in recent district action with Mary-Claire O’Leary and Torin Langston leading the Kittens. Moulton 50, Runge 20 O’Leary booked 20 points and Langston had a dozen as the Kittens won at Runge 50-20 on Dec. 16.

Torin Langston scored 12 points to lead the Bobkittens to a 33-20 win at Pettus Dec. 13 to commence the district campaign. Moulton took a 12-2 lead after the first frame and outscored Pettus 8-6 in the second quarter. for a 20-8 halftime advantage.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz split four games at home tournament

The Katz took third place at the Katz Klassic Tournament last week with a 2-2 record. Trenton Meisetschleager, Edgar Mendiola and  Kaddin Tesch all made the All-Tournament Team. Seth Lopez was crowned the Three-point Champion and the Free-Throw Champion.

Torin Langston dropped in a dozen points, and Estefania Colchado drained a triple and scored 11 points to lead Moulton past Ganado 35-20 on Dec. 6. The Kittens took a 14-6 lead after eight minutes and were up 27-13 at halftime.

The Kittens went 3-3 in the Schulenburg Tournament last weekend with Estefania Colchado making the All-Tournament Team. Moulton lost to Hallettsville Sacred on Nov.

Moulton basketball: Schedule for Katz/Kittens Klassic Tournament

The Moulton Katz and Kittens Classic Tournament will start today and run through Saturday. Thursday (Dec. 8): 9 a.m., Moulton vs Weimar, boys; 10:30, Hallettsville Sacred Heart vs Lexington, girls; 12 p.m.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz beat Bloomington, lose at Gonzales

The Moulton Bobkatz defeated Bloomington and were edged by Gonzales in their last two games before Thanksgiving. Moulton 51, Bloomington 42  Trenton Meisetschleager poured in 27 points as Moulton defeated Bloomington 51-42 at home on Nov. 18.

Moulton girls basketball: Kittens win against Victoria Cobras

The Kittens overcame a slow first quarter to down the Victoria Cobras 52-33 on Nov. 21 at home. VC took a 9-4 lead after the first frame and Moulton responded with an 20-11 run for a 24-20 halftime lead. Moulton went on a 10-5 run in the third frame and outscored VC 18-8 in the fourth .

Moulton girls basketball: JV Kittens win first two games

The Kittens junior varsity team picked up wins against Yorktown and Snook. Moulton 31, Snook 7 Reese Nieto scored 14 points as the Kittens beat Snook 31-7 to open the season Nov. 8. Moulton led just 2-1 after one quarter but outscored Snook 11-2 in the second quarter.
