Moulton girls basketball: Vasquez reached 1,000 points as Kittens demolish Waelder

Starting the second half against Waelder, Moulton Kitten senior Araceli Vasquez had scored 982 points in her high school career.Her teammates fed her the ball as she scored the first 15 points and then hit a triple that put her at 1,000 points as a varsity Kitten.

MISD Finance Rating Fails; Public Hearing Set

The Moulton Independent School District received a failing score on its Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) for the 2024-25 school year with an assigned rating of ‘63’. The district will hold a meeting this month to discuss Moulton ISD’s FIRST rating.

YOAKUM — In an away game versus Yoakum on the next-to-last day of the year, the Kittens were often their own enemy.Addison Simper scored nine points with Lilliana Gomez and Audrey Swinford each netting six points as Moulton edged Yoakum 34-30 on Dec. 30.

Moulton boys basketball: Katz win runner up at home tournament

Moulton defeated Hallettsville and won three at their home tournament in last week’s action.Moulton 63, Hallettsville 44Ja’Michael Williams and Landon Chaloupka each netted 15 points with one trey and Kenton Kirkland added 10 points in Moulton’s 63-44 home win over Hallettsville on Dec. 9.
