The Kittens fell in games to Weimar JV and Flatonia last week. Weimar JV 24, Moulton 12 After an early lead against the Weimar junior varsity Aprill in Weimar, Moulton fell behind and could not  completely catch up, losing 24-12.

Moulton track and field: Kittens place second in district meet

The Kittens and Katz competed in the 1A-30 meet April 5 in Runge. Girls The Kittens scored 95 points to finish runner up. 100 — Prelims: 9th, Samantha Michal, 16.00; 10th, Valeria Pinedo, 16.08; 11th, Angeles Juarez, 17.41. 400 — 3rd, Madalyn Brock, 1:09.76; 5th, Marisol Manzano, 1:19.

Moulton softball: Kittens split district games against Ganado, Louise

The Moulton Kittens went 1-1 last week, falling to Ganado and beating Louise. Ganado 24, Moulton 2 The Ganado Maidens outscored Moulton 15-1 in the second inning on the way to a 24-2 win in three innings April 4. Ganado led 4-0 after the first frame and outscored Moulton 5-1 in the third frame.

Moulton softball: Kittens go 1-1 in district action last week

The Kittens softball beat Bloomington 19-9 and lost to Schulenburg 15-0. Moulton 19, Bloomington 9 Down 6-5 in the bottom of the third, Moulton scored twice and never looked back in a 19-9 win against Bloomington March 28.

Moulton track and field: Kittens, Katz compete in JV events at Hallettsville meet

The Moulton track and field team competed in the junior varsity divisions of the Brahmas Relays meet in Hallettsville on Thursday. Girls The Kittens scored 15 points in the team standings. Shot Put — 6th, Mary-Clairie O’Leary, 26-11 1/2. 3200 — 2nd, Estefania Colchado, 14:20.56.

Moulton track and field: Moulton boys place sixth at Fayetteville track meet

The Moulton track teams competed in the Fayetteville meet on Thursday with Katz coming in sixth place. Girls The Kittens placed eighth. 100 — 13th, Valeria Pinedo, 16.11; 14th, Raelyn Brooks, 16.31. 200 — 7th, Brooks, 33.27; 11th, Angeles Juarez, 34.52. 400 — 12th, Madalyn Brock, 1:16.

Moulton softball: Kittens fall to Shiner JV 20-7

Ahead 10-7 after two innings, the Shiner JV softball team scored five runs each in the third and fourth innings to defeat Moulton 20-7. Shiner scored five runs in the top of the first and the Kittens scored a trio of runs to get within two runs. Shiner outscored Moulton 5-4 in the second inning.

The Kittens softball team went 1-2 in recent games, getting their first district win Schulenburg 20, Moulton 4 The Lady Shorthorns scored nine runs in the second inning to topple the Kittens 20-4 in Moulton on Friday. The Kittens scored one r un in the bottom of the third to get within 11-2.

Moulton boys basketball: Meisetschleager named Co-MVP of district

Junior Trenton Meisetschleager headlined the Moulton Bobkat All-District awards as he was named Co-Most Valuable Player of 30-1A. Senior Kaddin Tesch and junior Edgar Mendiola received First Team honors. Junior Talan Darilek was named to the Second Team.
