The 2022 Moulton Royalty pageant is right around the corner, and members of the Moulton Chamber of Commerce are actively recruiting for this year’s slate of candidates. The lone requirement of each contestant is that they reside within the bounds of the local school district.

Just four more weeks are all that remain until the annual festivities at the Moulton Town & Country Jamboree kick off once again. Moulton councilman Craig Hughes came out of June’s regular city meeting with an all-new title after fellow councilmembers nominated him as the city’s new mayor pro-tem.
Texas team who competed at the national championship in Georgia last week returned with several top honors, including World Champion Team and World Champion Girls & Boys Teams. Several individual honors were also recognized: Craig and Bella Sciba are the World Champion Ribbon Roping Team, Craig Sciba is the World Champion Chute Dogger, Craig Sciba is also All-Around Cowboy, Mia Janosky and Craig Sciba were both picked for Winning Horse of the Year, Colee Cox is World Champion Girls Breakaway, Wyatt Howell w

Members of the Texas Junior High Rodeo Association’s Texas team who competed at the national championship in Georgia last week returned with several top honors, including World Champion Team and World Champion Girls & Boys Teams.

Moulton ISD announced Friday, June 17, that Victoria Nieto Ortiz was hired to fill the vacancy at the elementary campus, which opened when current principal April Simper resigned her post to the MISD board of directors at their regular monthly business meeting held earlier this month.
