The Moulton Kittens basketball team had the desired start to district.The Kittens scored plenty of points in a 75-7 win over Runge Friday evening at home.“Good to start district off on the right foot,” Kittens head coach Craig Barta said.

The Katz won three of four games to place runner up in their home tournament last Thursday through FridayMoulton 57, Nixon-Smiley 48Four players scored 10 or more points as the Katz held off Nixon-Smiley 57-48 in the first game for the Katz.

The Moulton Kittens won all four of their games at the Kittens Klassic Tournament last Thursday through Saturday.Addison Simper was selected as the Tournament MVP. Reese Nieto, Audrey Swinford and Karsyn Blahuta were chosen to the All-Tournament Team.

The Moulton Bobkatz ran a couple of different press systems and it worked out for them.The Katz were able to mount a comeback in the second half to defeat Bartlett 38-32 Nov. 19 at home.“We went to our regular press and it worked out alright,” Katz head coach John Meisetschleager said.
