Shiner football: Comanches face Ben Bolt in first round

The Shiner Comanches (10-0, 5-0) kick off the playoffs at 7 p.m. tonight in Kenedy against the Ben Bolt Badgers, the fourth-place team in District 16-2ADII.“We are in the playoffs now so we have to make sure we take of business in this game,” Comanches head coach Daniel Boedeker said.

Shiner volleyball: LCs sweep Freer, beat Granger to advance to regional final

The Lady Comanches are on to the regional final after defeating Granger on four sets in the area round and sweeping Freer in the regional semifinals.Shiner was scheduled to play Burton Tuesday evening of this week at Rice Consolidated.

Shiner football: Comanches run the table on regular season, district season with 61-12 win over Yorktown Wildcats

The Shiner Comanches put the finishing touches on an undefeated regular season and district championship with a 61-12 rout of Yorktown Friday at Comanche Stadium.“We have been through some hard times but we came through and won the game,” running back-defensive back Quincy Jones said.

Shiner volleyball: LCs move into regional quarterfinals

The Lady Comanches volleyball team earned a sweep of Falls City in the bi-district match Thursday night at Seguin ISD’s SAC Center.The first set was a close one as Shiner won 25-20. The Lady Comanches were more dominant in the second set with a 25-13 win.
