Shiner football: Rice keeps Shiner off the scoreboard

For the first time since the 2017 season, the Shiner football team did not put any points on the scoreboard.The Comanches suffered a 23-0 loss at 3ADII Rice Consolidated on Friday.The Raiders scored three touchdowns and converted a field goal.

Shiner volleyball: Shiner JV wins runner up in Runge

The Lady Comanches Junior Varsity Gold won second at the Runge Tournament last weekend and went 4-3, with all three losses coming to the hosts.Kayden Smith and Emersyn Boehm made All-Tournament.

Lane Simper scored two touchdowns and Kaden Neskora added one touchdown to lead the Shiner junior varsity football team to a 24-6 win in the 2024 opener against Hallettsville in Hallettsville.On the defensive side, Clay Spann forced a fumble.
