Shiner baseball: Comanches nine beat Shorthorns, lose to GHS in extra innings

When first baseman Bode Werner got an unassisted putout and then threw to shortstop Carson Schuette for the double play,  Shiner breathed a sigh of relief.The Comanches were up on the Schulenburg Shorthorns 3-1 in the top of the seventh with the ‘Horns having two runners on and one out.

St. Paul baseball: St. Paul overcomes slow start to down Pettus 14-8

After two and a half innings, the St. Paul baseball team found themselves down 6-2 Friday at home to Pettus.They shortened Pettus’s lead to 6-5 after the three innings before falling behind 7-5 after three and a half.
