The second Shiner cross-country  meet will be held Saturday at Green-Dickson Park with 846 runners and various state-championship teams attending.Varsity Girls will be at 8:30 a.m., varsity boys at 8:55, junior varsity at 9:25 and junior high at 9:55at Green Dickson Park.

Shiner volleyball: 7th A volleyball team wins Yoakum tournament

The Shiner Braves 7A volleyball team won the Yoakum invitational volleyball tournament on Saturday. Shiner went undefeated, capturing a first- round win against St. Paul, a come from behind victory versus Poth and a battle against Sacred Heart (27-25 and 26-24) to earn first place.
