Knights of Columbus institutes ‘Knights to the Rescue’ Program

The Moulton Council of the Knights of Columbus #3244 have instituted a new charitable program entitled “Knights to the Rescue,” designed especially to provide help to the immediate and surrounding communities.

This new program is specifically created to help those in need, whether suffering from physical illness, death of a family breadwinner, or due to catastrophic loss of home or job due to circumstances beyond control, or any other circumstance deemed appropriate by the organization.

This assistance will come in the form of donated labor, physical items such as groceries, or financial gifts directly to the party in need.

Funding for this charity will be raised by donations from and by the Father Joseph Kopp Council #3244 of the Knights of Columbus, supplemented by fund raising projects such as meals-to-go, and from memorial donations.

Additional financial, tax deductible gifts from the general public will be accepted and greatly appreciated.

The aim of this program is to form a more personal bond between the organization and the citizens of our area.

Charity has always been the primary charge of the Knights of Columbus, but, in order to form a more visible and tangible connection with the brother and sisterhood of our community, they pledge to conform to the following statement:” from our hand to the hand of those in need”.

Donations have already been made to the following: Ukraine Solidarity Fund - $1,000; Moulton House Fire Victims - $1,000; Flatonia House Fire Victims - $700; Schulenburg House Fi re Victims - $500; Catastrophic Medical Bills - $1,750; FOCUS Mission Work - $1,200; Funeral, Sick and Assistance - $912.
